Old Tractor Grille???

I found this old grille on my parents' property a while back. Figgered it was from a tractor or possibly an old car from way back. It appears to have a hole in it for a hand crank to pass thru! Anyone have a clue what this is from?

Looks to be from a Ford N series tractor. Such as a 9N, 2N or 8N. One of the Ford guys could probably tell for sure as I'm not sure if they used the exact same on each tractor.

Hello DOD, welcome to YT! What J. said. I see some some stuff is bent up and dented so you can throw it on the dime-a-dozen pile. I can’t tell you which model either, but trust me a Ford guy will be along to enlighten us all. Here is a link to a probable model it may fit. Ford 8N
You got a AC D17 around there? Show us a pic of that.

I have had a 9N, 2N and a NAA and it is not a tractor grill, possibly a car.

It is indeed a grille for 8N Ford.
Are the 2N, 8N, and 9N's different? The web pix I viewed seemed purt'near 'zacklee... I appreciate everybody's input but no need to get too jiggy about all this because I'm just going to use it as yard art. I thought about making a wind chime using old silverware I found around the property. Haven't really figured out the mechanics of it all but it seems like a cool idea! Even better that it's a Ford because I'm one of those blue oval dudes! Now I can tell people what exactly I have thanks to you guys! Muy apprecianado!

PS. Anyone know anything on Speedex Tractors? I have a 1630.

You should start a new thread on this, as it is a totally different topic.

The picture shows it to be tapered wider at the top than the bottom so not a tractor grill as they were not tapered but straight from top to bottom. Some of the 30,s cars were tapered like that but not the Ford tractors.

Leroy, I think that is all in the photo angle that is convincing you that it is something else. You would have hard time convincing someone that the grill that YT has for sale in the post by JH is not the same as the one in his photos. I also doubt Henry would have allowed a grill to be put in a production vehicle that resembles a “tractor grill” so closely. The fact that you did not have an 8N may play into this. Not being a Ford guy I don’t know how much difference there is between an 8 grill and the 9 & 2? I just looked at your post count and I see you have a lot of rubber on the YT road, maybe I’m in bad karma. I’ll just wave the surrender flag. :censored:
