Versatile 118

I fixed a 850 Versatile last winter. It was fun. I ended up selling it. Looking for another winter project. A 118 would be interesting. Would be interested in finding one to buy.

I've owned quite a few Versatiles over the years.

Most unique was a G100 over thirty years ago, had a Dodge 318 for power.

I recently "rehomed" an older 800.

The "118" has a Cummins "val" six cylinder diesel, the "145"
is the same chassis with a Cummins "vale" 8 cinder diesel.

I can fix you up with a "145" reasonably.

(quoted from post at 22:15:00 10/21/21) I wonder which dodge 318 was used? The
early semi hemi or the later style wedge
head

I am quite the fan of the early 318s

The tractor was built in 1966.

ince the tractor was built in 66, it was probably a 318 poly. the 318 LA was first used in 67 cars.

Looking at the valve cover in that picture tells me that it is a Polysphere engine.

Yes you are correct, I tried looking at
photo in modern view which allows me to
expand photo more.
I didnt realise that happened.
And yes those are definitely the 2 bolt
saw tooth valve covers of the early semi
hemi 318.

Thankyou

You're welcome.

That is one of the many advantages of Modern View over Archaic View.
