At one time there was a small Japan company offering parts services selling out of Japan, then C19 hit. Since then the emails only bounce.

Ahhh thats a real shame. Its just fustrating in the uk parts arent easy to get hold of. For everything else i order parts for, mowers, garden equipment, old jap cars, tractors ect i can get the numbers from part diagrams and just order them myself. I just need random bits and pieces, after removing the 4wd housing on my 186d i could do with replacing the gasket part number 194301-28110. I will probably just end up making one. Its just a fight to get any parts for these tractors in the UK. I did order a couple of bits from tracpartz and they arrived quickly but they dont carry that many parts.
Im going to keep an eye out for another Ym186d and use that for parts if i can get one.

Im also looking to hopefully get an older yanmar excavator so i was hoping to find somewhere i could reliably order parts from for the older machines. I also do prefer to order genuine parts when i can if possible and the prices are sensible.

For 60 years, Kukje has made tractor parts for Yanmar out of Korea. TYM now owns Kukje.

A parts tractor is good to have. Yet we learned from members California and rScotty the YM186 was made so few as the YM187 replaced it. And they are not the same machine for parts.

The greatest resource on the web for anything vintage Yanmar is the YTOG.

Additionally, have you reached out to Yanmar directly? Yanmar USA does support the domestically sold machines just like yours in the UK.

Have you reached out to Fredricks Equipment? They are the only true licensed authority to import arts from Japan with the Yanmar agreement.

When all of our sources here in the USA couldn't get a certain 4WD driveshaft, PAOURIS Parts in Greece did it. And they shipped to the USA quickly. At least 3 people posted in our YTOG community their capability and specialized machine shop to replicate drive train parts too.

Spot on cheers. I have emailed the place in greece to see if they would make me a shaft up.
I have also sent J&R some details. I know they make alot of car driveshafts and i have a spare set of their shafts for my Turbo Integra Type R.

Ive searched and so far i cant find any sign of YM187's in the uk. Maybe they were sold here but there seems to be more 186 machines over here.
Ive had a good search today using the John Deere 650 and 750 part numbers (CH14602) for the drive shaft and it seems to be the exact same story, various posts online of people looking for shafts but no one actually finding one or getting any made. I did find a better picture in the JD parts manual though.

I cant even manage to find some decent pictures online of these driveshafts
The picture of the green shaft is the only one i can find which i assume is the one which would fit the YM186.

The more details you find the better it would be to locate either the hardware to make the drive shaft assembly or to look thru catalogs of driveshafts from other tractor brands and 4WD Jeeps.

The green shaft you had posted looks similar to others I've seen over here.
