This 7720 JD Sold For $2700 On Saturday

I went to the farm sale of an 80+ year old neighbor 7 miles away
on Saturday and this 1982 7720 JD RWA combine sold for
$2700.It was pretty well worn out.It had been over alot of acres
and had been run by hired help.It hadnt been used in several
years and the seperator clutch wouldnt kick in.

The owner had a 60' by 80' Morton building but had it full of old
junk cars and trucks.This combine sat out alot.I think it was
bought for salvage.Theres two other yellow cab 7720's still in
use yet around me.

That was cheap enough to buy just for the engine. I put a 466 out of a 7720 in my 4520 20 years ago. Put a 4620 innercooler on it and it looks bonestock. Looks can be deceiving, grin. I'd also think there'd be some money in that 3208 in the TR also. Tom

Tom,
I'm just about sure that both went for salvage but could be
wrong..I'm betting that Spring River Salvage at Verona,MO got
them.Theres deffinitely money to be made here.The engines pay
for the combine and the rest is profit.
