Struggling to find year of my tractor

Hi . I'm really struggling to age my fordson. The engine number is s520784, which I belief is a exchange or replacement engine.
The numbers at the rear of the tractor are
A935903.
The front chassis has
Eiaddn
5020 c
T3.
Any help would be muchly appreciated as dvla have it registered as first registered 1973 which I know the tractor is not that new.
I believe it to be a major. But I'm not sure and want to restore it back to original.
Thanks in advance Simon

Check a few threads down, I posted where to find all the numbers. What you have are casting Mould numbers and are the same on most tractors. If you find the date codes, then you can find the actual build date of your tractor within a day or two. You look to have a Major but whether it is an FMD, a Power, Super or New Performance Super requires a bit more information. Does it have Dif. Lock, Disc Brakes and Draft Control? That would lower the possibilities.

Thanks for your reply, I'll check the thread and take a look at her tomorrow. As I would like a age related number plate instead of the L reg 1973 plate it seems to be registered with and to put her back to as original as I can with not knowing at the mo which model she is. Thanks once again

Hi , I've took some pics in the hope this will help. Its drum brakes.
Any help will be much appreciated

Looks like she started life in 1954 but you will need a few more numbers like these to enable you to get an age related registration. Pat Pawsey at Ford and Fordson Club would be your best bet for help with that.

Your engine has been replaced with one from either a combine or some other industrial setup, it is a New Performance Super engine by the look so will be around 54 hp, could be greater than that if it has been turned up for another application.

J14V is July 14th 1954
F7V is May 7th 1954

That makes her a Fordson Major Diesel.

They are near enough to be able to say they came from the original tractor, another number from the axle trumpets, hydraulics or rear axle casing, with a "V" ending, will improve your chances of an age related reg. number.

Just on the off chance, check carefully on the flange behind the starter motor on the gearbox. Your tractor might just have the original serial number stamped there. It was built just about the time when they were changing to the "Modified Engine" and the number positioning could be still on there before they went to number on the engine.

Lovely job you are doing, I have three here to do if you run out of work. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Thanks a million, you're help so far has been amazing. I'm not at my yard now, but will be up next week to get more numbers. Once again thank you very much and I'll contact that man wheni have more info. As a 1973 number she has dosent suit her 🤣. I'll keep you posted . Regards Simon

Well, it has drum brakes , so it's not a Super Major. The throttle control is down low, beside the park brake handle, so that indicates it is a Fordson Major Diesel, at least that makes it an early 50s model.
