Gas Gauge Leaking ?

Today the Co-Op brought out fuel.... 1670 Dollars .. !! The D-17 gasser came up to Belly -up with the rest of the empty tank tractors .. We had to stop when gas started leaking real bad at the steering post , Perhaps the gas gauge seal needs replacing.i would say some of You have BTDT . as for now I will simply run with 5 gallon at a time . funny , I never noticed any fumes .

Just go buy some cork gasket material and make a new gasket. Cheaper than the fuel you will loose!

There are gaskets available. Cork or neoprene. 4 screws and maybe 5 minutes to fix.

Thanks for Your response i will try to find a link to get it shipped in.. AND
i also need to check my Auction finds I think i have some thin cork gasket
material in good condition .

Do a Google search for "70228119". I prefer DJS, but shipping on a $6 gasket would be as much as the gasket. Maybe think of a few other things you need to ease the shipping pain. Oil filter or something.
