Dip Stick for hydro unit on 8N

Anybody know the length and marking depths for the dip stick on my 8N's hydraulic unit? At least I guess a dip stick goes in the hole, sure looks like one should. Better than the plastic cap I got on there now anyhow.
I've been reading this forum for some time and you guys are flat out wunnerful.

Yes, but.... common practice is to pull the bottom bolt on the right side inspection cover and only add fluid until it comes out that hole - then pull your new dipstick and scribe a full mark right where the level is when no more is running out the bolt hole. Any higher than that may grease up your brakes and leave you unstoppable.....
 
Thanks Bill, That's the sorta info that ya can't find in the manual and brakes is something I need here living on top of a mountain in Calif.
