Brazing Nut onto Stripped Farmall 140 Steering Box Mounting Hole

When you get the kit, they will tell you the size bit required for the Helicoil tap. The threads will be 5/8-11 if that is the kit you want. They used to include the drill bit but don’t anymore. You will have to procure that yourself.

Brazing Nut onto Stripped Farmall 140 Steering Box Mounting Hole

You need a clear area at right angles to the repair hole, and sufficient height clearance to get your drill in there to drill for the Heli-Coil tap. I doubt you will have room for a tap wrench, but there are 3/8” square drive tap sockets so that you can start the tap with an ordinary ratchet...

Frozen clutch - dissolve rust with Coke?

It penetrates the same way as when a guy waits for months for some magic potion to penetrate between a piston and a cylinder wall . The guy wakes up every morning expecting to turn his engine because someone online said, “I freed up hundreds of engines like that, and it has never failed me”...

    IH 806 diesel engine

It may not need a total rebuild, depending on how it locked up. Take it apart first and see what is wrong with it. Then you can determine whether you want to pursue an overhaul.

international #10 grain drill soy bean settings?

If no seed chart, a few simple mathematical calculations is all that is needed to calibrate the drill accurately Calculate the length of a pass that would be required to plant 1/10th of an acre. The number of openers and row width will have a factor on this distance . Paint a white stripe...

    bushing replacement, Farmall M

If the bushing is soft enough to thread, just drill the whole thing out and forget taps and pullers.

Cub Cadet 122 . Has anyone made their own hydraulic lift ?

The piston travel will be determined by the length of throw of your manual linkage. The various cylinders available for this application are about 1-1/4” bore.

super c generator issues..maybe normal, hot

If you have a non-vented generator, it’s going to run hotter than anything else. Mine charges the exact same numbers you have stated and runs hot enough that you can’t keep your hand on it for very long. I grew up with this tractor and it’s done this for 50 years.

    Installing temperature sensor in 560

I didn’t think of that, that should have worked. Definitely never encountered this before.

    Installing temperature sensor in 560

Well if it screws together again normally after removing the adapter from the head, I’d just put some pipe dope on the threads and thread it back in the the head just enough so it doesn’t leak. The retainer nut is so far away from the compression area it seems strange that it would do that.

    Someone shot my cat

In all actuality, the cat probably was on someone else’s property and some **** ****** probably shot her. My issue is the flat denial that it could possibly happen the way I said it could, since we have had a handful of animals killed on our property since I was a kid… and this was in the...

    424 International Hydralic Lift

Do you mean it works when cold and then slows/stops when warm? One possibility is the pump is self-destructing and the gears are milling into the pump body; if you take the inline filter apart and it full of aluminum, the pump is shot .

    Someone shot my cat

Doesn’t matter what “ sounds reasonable “ to me. I want convincing evidence if I’m called on to judge somebody. It would be “reasonable” to assume that you would have shot the cat yourself, given the chance, since you have already proclaimed your dislike for cats. You’re biased. You have...
