White 4-XXX four wheel drive tractors

I am very interested in the 4-xxx four wheel drive tractors. When were the different models produced and what changes were made during their run? were more than one model available at the same time? When was the gear shift move from the floor to the right hand console. Seemed like a good design/idea. definitely a progressive idea. I wonder if IH copied the idea for the 2+2.?

If you read Larry Gay’s book, A Guide to Hart-Parr, Oliver and White Farm Tractor, there is an interesting description of the 4-150 (pg 67) being designed in response to customers requests. You’d think they were designing an IH 2+2. The 4-150 was 1974-78. 2+2s came out 1979. Hmmmmmmm….
