Versatile 400 swather

Not sure this is the right place, but couldn't find a better forum to use.

I need some sickle guards for my Versatile 400 swather. Old number is 9705050. I have looked online for some and the 290 number seems to be the replacement.

But I've found BU290, MCM290 and G290. What are the differences in them?

Possibly the prefix letters indicate the maker or seller of the aftermarket guards?

Original number was V1605, if the guards you are looking at are listed as replacing that number all should be well.

As a point of reference, the current CNH number is 86544410, some $21 at the dealership.
