When I went to change the oil in the front axle and both final reduction units I didn't get the reaction that I expected as I assumed the axle & both reductions were a common chamber.
There is one fill port and three drain plugs. When filling at the common point on the axle I only had oil draining out the right side.
Is the left side plugged or does it fill separately?

Its been a while since your post, but I serviced my TC34da today and was also unsure how to refill the front axle AND the reduction gear cases on each side. I can confirm all 3 sections are connected. I was able to drain the axle, and each the gear case from both sides. The only fill plug is on top of the axle at the yellow dipstick. You should have gotten fluid on both sides of the gear cases. Perhaps you had an obstruction?
