I've only been around a few Kubota's and they all had that racket.

I have three Kubotas and the closest sound I've heard like that was when the water pump was going bad. It also could be a valve adjustment needed.

It's like it's up towards top of engine.i'll have check those and see.

Are you saying this is a new sound? I have 3 compact Kubotas (1988,1992 and 2015). I don't hear anything concerning.

I just purchased it.sounds like a pinging and knocking sound.some sugested I need to check adjust the valves.

You certainly can do what you want, but as I said, mine sound the same and have for a long time. My new one makes a little less noise, but it is 30+ years newer.

How many hours on it? Sounds like a 3 cylinder diesel to me and my l2501 has just over 300 hours on it.
