    Case 580K diodes

    I have a 580K that won?t shut off sometimes. If you unplug the stop solenoid it will shut off so I?m sure it?s not the solenoid. I am sure that what?s wrong with it is the diodes in the wiring harness to keep the alternator from back feeding the ignition switch. I bought new ones to replace them...

    Surge above idle

    I have a 580K Case backhoe with a 4 cyl Cummins and a 1294 Case with a 4 cyl David Brown. Both of them have a Lucas CAV pump. Both idle smoothly but just above idle surge. If you give them a little more throttle they smooth out. Can anyone tell me why?

    Chopping corn silage

    I have a 5.9 Cummins industrial engine with a Bosch pump on it. On the tag it says 3916910 RX and m121498031 and Phase II and remanufactured Cummins. It hasn?t run in at least 10 years. Is there anything I should do with the pump before I try to start it? It has been stored inside under cover.
