1995 Ford 2120 - TEE for checking hydraulic pressure for clutch

Good find, and I should have suspected metric all along as well. It's frustrating when you can't make the measurement yourself, and when the owner does not reply back to your request for more info. If I had that fitting in my hand, I would have immediately concluded that it wasn't JIC after I...

1995 Ford 2120 - TEE for checking hydraulic pressure for clutch

Did you try and make another measurement with the calipers, and/or check the thread pitch?

So what did you come up with for a revised measurement?

Starrett calipers - nice! I have all Starrett for my outside mics, and still have my Starrett dial calipers as well. Assuming his jaws are touching the threads in the first pic, the .515" measurement rules out a #5 and makes it more likely a #6 if he's not measuring the absolute largest part...

1995 Ford 2120 - TEE for checking hydraulic pressure for clutch

I'll admit it's closer to #5. The TPI measurement will tell us for sure.

1995 Ford 2120 - TEE for checking hydraulic pressure for clutch

Since I'm a teacher by profession, allow me to give you a little schooling. First off, we don't measure the ID of female threads to establish fitting size, at least not if we're categorizing them as "7/16" or "14mm". These terms refer to the OD of the male threads. That said, my attached chart...

    5000 SOS update

Ooof that's ugly. The gaspot engine would make it a no-go for me.

    5000 SOS update

Your problem is that the end play is controlled by a variable thickness thrust washer which might be impossible to find. If the rear cover gasket is say .015" thick, you could leave it out and that would give you .012" end play. You could then substitute the gasket with anaerobic sealant.

ford 6600 engine will not rotate 360 degrees

That thing looks like it was stored in salt water.

    8830 Overheat

Maybe the problem then is the filler neck where the cap seats, as it should not be spitting out water at 220 degrees. Also, it appears that there's a disconnect between the temps you're seeing with your gauges and what the dash is thinking.

    8830 Overheat

Sounds like you need a new radiator cap if it's spitting water out only 10 degrees over the boiling point. You may be surprised to learn that Ford allows a max of 250 degrees on that engine. That's an advantage of a parent bore engine.

    8830 Overheat

OK, so that begs the next question: What temperature do you consider to be overheating?

    Ford 7600 head gasket

Better figure out why it blew, because that's a very rare occurrence on those engines.

    8830 Overheat

If it still runs warm with a solid fan hub, then I'd wager there's something wrong with your temp gauge. Either that or the fuel pump has been turned way up.

    8830 Overheat

First things first, how do you know it's overheating? Because the gauge says so, or because it is boiling over? If you're going by the gauge, confirm your problem with a mechanical gauge plumbed in next to your existing sending unit. If you can't hear the fan roar at full load then it's likely...

    Ford 6000 3-point wont raise?

I hear you on the stuck 3-point arms. Mine required, among other tools, the services of a torch to get the bushing free from the shaft. As for not lifting, if you can see the rod that actuates the control valve moving, then it's safe to say your linkage is fine and that your control valve is...

injector timing and low engine torque

You need to do what's called a stall test. This procedure is detailed in the repair manual. If the stall speed turns out to be low, the possible causes listed in the manual will be "defective torque converter" or "low power output from engine", or words to that effect. Once you logically rule...

injector timing and low engine torque

It could if indeed the torque converter is faulty. All of that wasted power is being turned into heating of the transmission fluid which is then dumped into the bottom of the radiator, which I suspect is where your trans cooler is located. If you're convinced that the engine is in good...
