Leak under my 3400 1974 tractor
I was moving some round bales today and on the last one I saw a bad leak underneath the tractor. The front loader was lifting a round bale and the rear lift had the post hole digger lifted. I haven t taken the time to look at it closely but I took some pictures. Best guess? Thanks This... -

Sean before I tear into this, how is the metal hydraulic tube attached. Would I be able to wrench it off so I can take to a shop to be replicated. I hate to start taking things apart and have to send the tractor to the shop. I m not a mechanic. Got plan B going with the 3600. Lol... -

You are correct Sean. The leak only occurs when the three point lift is being used. I got a selfie stick and took some pictures of the leak while the tractor was running. -

Sean I do have a separate pump in the front of the tractor and a three pt lift on the back. This tractor doesn t have a backhoe but I do see hydraulic lines underneath the tractor. See next pictures. Is this the pump for the back? -

Thanks. I appreciate any safety tips received. The tractor was not leaking after it was brought back to the barn last night. Or this morning. It seemed to be only when lifting the heavy round bale. My question is why is the leak in the rear (under the rear axle plug) when the front loader... -

I went to the parts section of Yesterday's tractor to order the water pump for a 3600 and I found 3 different water pumps listed for this tractor. Do I need to find a number on my engine to determine which one to order? I don't want to have to take the pump off to see which one it matches.
