    Cub Cadet motor issue

Same as last year. Did you ever pull the metal elbow at the top of the fuel intake tube and verify there wasn't anything stuck inside acting like a check valve like I mentioned? Look close for air bubbles going into the filter when it acts up.

Frozen clutch - dissolve rust with Coke?

All kinds of crazy rumors out there from folks who don't like Coke or Taco Bell. Ignore them.

    International 444 front pin

Grease fitting is between pin and protruding cross boss above it. BTW, my 424 has a bolt in the back side of the pin where the picture above has a cotter pin?

    424 International Hydralic Lift

Did you refill it again after you started it up? There are 3 filters. 2 were already mentioned and the third one is a hp filter screen located on the front of the lift. If I'm not mistaken the bolt head is 1 inch. It's the only one that big.

    Battery weed eater

I have a MILWAUKEE. It came with 9 ah batteries. Works great. Two speeds. One for light use and one for heavy. Most of the time I use a 5 ah battery because I prefer less weight.

    Jonsered chain saw

The deal was finalized when he gave it to him. That was the time to discuss money. By your reasoning a tractor jockey should go back and give more money to someone he buys a tractor from when he makes money on it. Likewise ask for some back when he doesn't. Treat your friends like you want to...

Anyone attempted to use JD's new parts site?

Sounds like my old DB 1292 and DB 1293 cd's are going to be more useful than ever. They cover the NG's and Two Cylinders.

    Jonsered chain saw

I reckon everyone's different but I would take it as an insult if I was the original owner. If I had wanted to sell it I would have. I give stuff away fairly often that I no longer need. Key words are (I give it away)!

    Vintage Chainsaw Fuel Mix

If it was me I would use 2 of the little bottles of Stihl oil and call it good. If it smokes too much add a tad more gas. That will give you a 25 to 1 ratio. The old 16 to 1's were nasty. Smoked like a freight train and constantly fouled the spark plugs. The 12 oz is referring to motor oil which...

    Quick fixes on tractors

My guess is it used to have the two piece nut and he replaced it with a castle nut. When doing that you need a couple extra of the big washers with a keyway notch. Been there done that but I found the extra washers.

    JD40 VR removal

There's a mounting plate near the bottom. A capscrew on each side. You can see the two bolt holes in the pic. I pulled these pics from the net. Not sure if it bolts from the front or back but the pic shows the 4 screw holes where you would remove the front panel screws if necessary.

Woods 1260 rotary mower (10 foot) blades getting out of time and hitting each other

Flex plate drive with rubber/fiber disks instead of steel. I like the concept. The jacquard drives I used to work on used stacks of steel disks. 17 or 21 depending on head size.
