    What would cause the amp gauge to jump back and forth when engine rpms is above 1/4 throttle. Replace generator and cut out but the gauge still jumps back and forth. 1939 Wc 6 volt system. new or old battery makes no difference on the gauge action.

    How many pounds is the cooling system pressure cap? 4 or 7 lbs?

    AC B motor

    How much oil should the valve rocker arms be getting? Oil pressure gauge needle is setting on the R[normal] at about 1/4 throttle setting. Can not see any oil running off of the rocker arms. Checked oil passage to rocker arm is not plugged up.

    Went to one yesterday, around 25 tractors of all colors. three of them were quite unique a 1935 Case model unknown, a model A John Deere on all steel wheels, Allis Chalmers WD45 Diesel. Even a newer John Deere front wheel assist with cab and loader with a two bottom plow, guessing around 35/40...

    Can a thin hydraulic oil be used in a Char Lyn power steering system, with the Allis Chalmers factory pump and char lyn torque generator?

    Will cat 2 quick hitch hook up to a series 4 D17 with factory 3 point, with out making any changes to either of the componets?

    Use a M S 464 carb on your WD45 as that is what was on most of them when new.

    Trailer ramp mesh question.

    This message is a reply to an archived post by JayinNY on May 23, 2020 at 19:25:09. The original subject was "Re: Trailer ramp mesh question.". I used the metal mesh from hog crate floor on my trailer beaver tail, very heavy does not bend when heavy loads are on it.

    To increase the engine rpms on a Allis Chalmers 201 engine do I bend the governor cross arm towards the radiator or back away from the radiator?

    Will a MS carburetor from a WD45 give a 201 ci with factory standard pistons any more power? Or will it only overload it with fuel?

    My loader tractor has a narrow front end, has a 6ft bucket on it, will turning the rims with the dish side out cause any problems with them cracking or breaking with the bucket full of heavy material. This time of year I am fighting the mud balling up between the tires.

    Any one have a problem with their s4 gas d17 eating starters? About once a year the starter on mine breaks the drive. It has a loader on it, but may set for several days with out being started. Even replaced the fly wheel ring gear.

    On my 1950 AC B the hydraulics works good for lifting, but will not stay in the raised position settles down fairly fast. What is the problem, and how to fix it too hold up the implement? Tried adjusting linkage with no change in holding up implement.
