    Thread Date

Would it be possible to add the date to a thread so we can see it before opening? All these revived threads are getting out of hand and I prefer to avoid them.

Return to last view in thread?

Is there any way to get a thread to always return to the last post you viewed? Sometimes it will but just as often it goes back to the first post and you have to go through them all to find where you left off. It gets plum aggravating on long threads. 😒

    Better and Better

The more I play around with the new software the better I like it. The computer is where it really shines. You get all the options you don't see on the phone that I usually use. Uploads are much easier although I have only used the gallery. The previews sure are nice too. Just move the pointer...

John Deere Two Cylinder Electrical Diagrams

Just wanted to let everyone know I have posted all the SM 2029 diagrams in the gallery. Sure was a lot easier than when i first did it over at JohnnyPopper years ago. Back then i had to scan them into the computer then add them to photobucket and finally to Johnnypopper. All this was done on...

    Saved Searchable Folder

From bits and pieces I've seen we can now have folders. What I would like to do is make a folder similar to one I have at the old johnnypopper site. It is the electrical diagrams from the John Deere SM 29 for the old two cylinder tractors and engines. Can you give me some pointers on how to do...

    TEST FORUM

I hate to be a spoil sport but testing on the forums has gotten out of hand. We've all got to figure this out but please use the proper forum for testing. Pretty please.

TSX sintered bronze plug solvent ideas?

Float hung up on the International 424 and I had no idea until gas started pouring out everywhere it wasn't supposed to be. I thought I had a spare plug but I must have used it in the last TSX I rebuilt. I have some on order now but I'm trying to get this one cleaned for now. As usual...

    John Deere 125 not charging

20hp Briggs and Stratton and it's kicking my behind! New battery this spring and it's been fine until now. Checked the ac voltage coming out of the stator (one wire) and it was 27 volts. Should be good. Checked the DC voltage out of the regulator (one wire) and it was 7.4. Ordered a new...

    2011 Ford Fusion

Daughters car quit on her and had to be towed home. I spent the weekend trying to get it running with no luck. It would sorta run if you cranked it at half throttle but with no control. Replaced throttle body cause I had one. Hooked up the handy dandy scan tool Hobo recommended and it...

Battery Desulfating - Does it work?

I went to start the mower for the first time this year a week ago. Engine barely turned over so I hooked up the battery tender to charge it. I noticed the date was 5 years old so I thought it was a good time to see if desulfating actually worked. I left it hooked up for a week. It showed fully...

    Wire Crimper Recommendation

Between old age and a bum shoulder I am in need of a better and longer wire crimper for automotive and tractor use. Looking at Thomas Betts and Klein but the descriptions I found don't give an accurate length. I would appreciate some suggestions along with their length.

    IH 424 muffler update

I decided to try the restoration quality muffler from Steiners. It doesn't have a baffle but it isn't too loud. The tailpiece was too short and would put the clamp right against the bottom of the hood. I added a 6 inch extension and will weld it on. Had to go over the muffler pipe instead of...

Guys, it's been 6 days since we last heard from Glenn. Ya'll keep up the prayers for our old friend. He must be having a hard time or he would have updated us by now.

    Muffler opinions

I need to replace the muffler on the 424 I gas I picked up. I can get an A&I for $50, a Stanley for about $40, or a factory one from Messics for around $125. From past experience the Stanley isn't very quiet. Anyone have experience with the A&I muffler? I don't mind paying the difference...

    IH Wheel Weights

Need a little help with rear wheel weights. I picked up a 424 with a 1501 loader. It has one weight on each wheel front and back. I think it needs more in the rear and ran across some but they are different. Are they interchangeable? First pic is what is on it now. Second pic is what I found.

    Massey Ferguson 40 industrial

Need a little help from you guys who know something about Massey's. I'm looking for an old loader tractor and my bil sent me this link. Can ya'll tell me what to look out for on one of these? It's kinda rough but a ballpark value? The guy doesn't tell you anything but I would like to know what...

    172 Leak Off Line

Anyone have a 172 injector leak off line you could part with? I checked mine as suggested and couldn't see it leaking but decided I would change the washers and olive just to be sure. When I got it off the end would wiggle so I knew it was leaking. The tube inside the olive was worn...

    851 Diesel Oil Leak

I have developed an oil leak when running higher rpm's. I sprayed it down with brake cleaner and as long as it's idling it stays dry. Increase the rpm's to about 1200 and it seeps. Gets a lot worse the faster it runs. It appears to be leaking from a couple injector seals but some at the valve...
