    There are a few pages (at least) of mine that are marked up with grease from the donor copy they scanned 😄 When I saw the color copies of yours it made me check mine to see if I had color or shades of grey

    I meant to take a video during colder weather, but this one is roughly 55 degrees F, cold start. I have been meaning to check compression, simply offering a comparison. I’m happy with the way this starts.

    This is a great thread. So much information has been shared, I could give a rip less if the OP buys or not. I had no idea of the horrors behind sos tractors, honestly only knew of the positives. Really good insight

    Mine is set up like that, if you zoom in close you can see the lines. I don’t know any different, and being I’m going on 36 this year, it doesn’t bother me to reach down and fiddle the levers. Top lever does the bucket curl, bottom lever operates the arms up/down.

    According to my operator manual, the 13.6-28 rears pictured fall in line with the optional size for a 3000. Whether that size can physically fit on a 2000, that I do not know.

    For sure it is supposed to be seated in between that bottom plate and the carb housing.

    Both Eman and Jim. have good points. I think checking for spark/sanding the points would be the less effort of the two, however you will likely see some part of the fuel system before you’re done. Plus then you can get an idea of the running condition between repairs, to narrow down if it runs...
