    JD 1240 Plates for Soybeans

    Same plate fits 290, 490, 494, 494A, 694, 694 A, 694 AN. Would think Lustran would still have them, therewere several different numbers for beans.

    The picture shows it to be tapered wider at the top than the bottom so not a tractor grill as they were not tapered but straight from top to bottom. Some of the 30,s cars were tapered like that but not the Ford tractors.

    First off there is no such thing as a NFF drill drop the second F and you will have the model. Think I still have 2 different versionsdof the owners manuall have had 2 of them. The non fertilizer version was the M and the F was just for fertilizer..

    Is it a steel wheel rake or a rubber tire rake? Am 80 years old and was on this site since the mid 90's and a farmer all my working life and never saw or heard of anything except a low wheel rubber tire rake and very few of them.

    What would this plow be called or classified as ?

    Many names used but in the parts books you will find them called a disk tiller. Yours has to be a light weight unit being it is a mounted unit. Mine was a old (30?} unit.
