    On way to a parade

    They are a 620, 720, 730, 4440, and a 4630. Have a 4040 that was still hiding in the machine shed.

    What is your dream tractor?

I think I already have them. A 4630, 4440, and a 4040, all power shifts that were all bought new by my grandfather. Then a 620 that was bought in 1978 - the first tractor I ever drove by myself in a field, and the 730 gas that was bought in 1984.

    Draft link supports

A friend of mine found a three point hitch in a barn. The problem is is that he has a 620 and the draft link supports (elephant ears) are for a 720 - 730. Is there anyone that would be willing to trade just the elephant ears. He has F2778R & F2779R and wants A5713R & A5712R. We are in...

    720 Power trol plug leaking

On my friends 720, the expansion plug is leaking on the left side, by the flywheel cover, on the power trol pump. The plug is part number 30H17. We fixed this leak on our tractors many years ago, but a mechanic did it. Is this an easy fix? Thanks for any replies. Bob

Thanks, It has been on our farm since 1982 and did a lot of work, but not so much these days with the livestock gone.

    JD 730 front tires

That is the size I added to our 730, about 25 years ago. They look good, I think. Bob

    Still working on 620 ignition

Had that problem with a 720. Turned out the ballast resistor was bad. Had power to one side but not the other.

    Plow rake spacer

Would anybody be interested in this spacer for the clodbuster, or rake, on a F series, and probably others, John Deere plow? It fits on the rear steering arm to raise up the steering rod to make more clearance for the clodbuster. This picture is not mine, but gives you an idea.

    730 John Deere fenders

I know what you mean. We have 3pt on our 730 also and it always seems easier to get on the back of these older tractors, but with the 3pt, we get on the front on this one.

    730 John Deere fenders

How far out do you want to go? There are 2 sets of holes on the axles, one for narrow, or 30 rows, and another for wide, or 36 to 40 rows. This is if you are using the factory mounts, the 3 hole.
